It was nice to meet you at the ASCA World Coaches Club in San Diego, CA. As spurred by our conversation I thought it would be good to follow up with a letter of appreciation of the product Super Swim.
We are a dual YMCA/USS team with novice to national level swimmers. There are the typical pool space problems that seem to plague all swimming teams, but with our program we also have the problem of competing long course with only training in yards. This was a “deal with it” situation before the use and implementation of the Super Swim. I planned our training preparations for long course with a great emphasis on the use of super swims as the “tool” to carry us over the barrier of “yards”. The Super Swims gave my athletes the confidence they needed to compete in long course because of the continuous swimming without the turns. I fashioned sets like those used in long course based on times/intervals appropriate to long course times. It was an invaluable tool that will be used even smarter the next time around.
Thank you for the ability to better prepare my athletes for the competition they face in whatever course they are in. I highly recommend the “tool” to anyone serious about long course training in short course facilities.

As a cardiologist, I am acutely aware of the need for proper cardiovascular exercise. It has been my experience and opinion that lap swimming provides the best aerobic workout with the least amount of stress and impact on joints and muscles.
The Super Swim system, which I have been using for some time, adds the dimension of “Hydro-Resistance” to normal lap swimming, allowing the body to progress rapidly from the aerobic to the anaerobic state.
Due to my demanding schedule, I have a limited amount of time for exercise. The Super Swim system allows me to cut the time of my normal lap swimming routine by two thirds. I can use it in my smallest pool without compromising the length or intensity of my workout. I recommend Super Swim to anyone desiring the ultimate swimming exercise.

Thank you for allowing me to try one of your Super Swim hydro-resistance exercisers. I have found in a valuable aid for training sprinters. Heretofore, I have had difficulty getting my sprinters to use the same stroke rate in training that they use in competitive 50 yard races. With your device they have been able to do several 8 to 10 second tethered swims at competition stroke rates. Because they are stationary, I am able to signal when the rate is dropping.
This device has certainly improved their ability to maintain a high rate of turnover for the entire race. Before using the Super Swim, fatigue caused them to reduce their rate by 5 to 7 strokes per minute on the second 25 of a 50. Now, they are able to maintain nearly identical rates for both lengths of the race.
Another way we have made valuable use of the Super Swim is to have the swimmers perform the tethered swim while viewing their strokes in a mirror. This allowed them to stroke fast and correctly which, in turn, hastened learning considerably. Thank you for the opportunity to try your product. It has been a valuable tool and I will continue to use it.

Just want to share with you. As you know, FLST began using your Super Swims in 1986, and we have just gotten better ever since. We are so happy to report that we have just won the combined 1992 National Championships for the first time in our team history. Believe me, a lot of credit goes to Super Swim.

Just wanted to drop you a short note telling you of this year’s success with Super Swim. We began using the “Fishing Poles” late in December and saw the same type of success with our breaststroke and backstroke swimmers that we saw in my previous year at Bolles. We have found that technique and stroke development is much easier for the athletes to understand when using the Super Swim as part of their regular weekly routine. We would very much like to incorporate even more of this type of training into our season.
Thanks again for your help and product.

We have enjoyed our Super Swim almost daily for almost three years now. It’s a great product and we have enthusiastically recommended it to friends on several occasions.
We have to say “almost daily” and that is our problem. When we travel and can only use other than our own pool (motels, condos, etc) there is seldom an opportunity for swimming laps without getting in the way of other people. What we need is a portable Super Swim, one that can be temporarily attached to another pool.
Please advise whether or not you have such a product or are in the process of developing one.

Thank you so much for selling me the Super Swim. I have never been so pleased with any piece of equipment like I am with the Super Swim. It has totally changed the way I train. I have taught Karate for over 24 years and helped students to develop training schedules to build up their endurance. But nothing that I have ever used can compare to Super Swim.
On the first day, I struggled to do 75 breaststrokes without stopping. Three weeks later I did 510 strokes without stopping. Super Swim has built my endurance faster than any piece of equipment I have ever used.
The most important thing that Super Swim has done was help build my wife’s confidence in her swimming ability. One day we started toward the pool and the phone rang. My wife went over without me. Forty minutes later I thought I would find her sitting with her feet in the pool, but instead she was using the Super Swim.
I can’t thank you enough for introducing Super Swim to me. The only regret I have is that I didn’t have the Super Swim in my life when I produced 20 National Karate champions and was a member of the United States Karate Team coaching staff. It would have made my job a lot easier in helping students to get in shape faster.

I want to thank you for your help the other day. Your generosity has enabled us to obtain six of the Super Swim units over the past two years and still stay under our budget. We greatly appreciate folks like yourself who help us to stay in the business of helping young people pursue their swimming goals to the fullest potential. Thank you!!
We have been using the Super Swim for the two years now and in that time we have had a young lady become a finalist at the Senior National level and a young man became a repeating finalist at the Junior National level in the breaststroke. We have also had more swimmers reaching the National and Junior National level as well as enjoying more success at the Regional and State level due in part to the use of the Super Swim. We have primarily used Super Swim for our breaststroke training, but it is great for all the stroke and for any kind of kicking sets. In fact, we often have our athletes who can not train full strokes due to shoulder or ear troubles hook up to the Super Swim for some grueling kicking sets. I don’t know if the Super Swim has medical or healing powers, but it has been known in our club to quickly aid in healing those shoulder and ear troubles. The staff here at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club has a wonderful opinion of the Super Swim and we would highly recommend that other competitive clubs such as ours find a way to purchase one (or more) and put it to immediate use in getting their athletes to go faster. Thanks again for your help and I hope to be in touch with you soon to give you another order.

PS: the units bought two years ago are in as good a shape as our newest ones. I don’t think any other device of this type is as inexpensive and durable.

I wanted to thank you for introducing the Super Swim to the Miami Dolphins. It has received immediate use with both our rehabilitation and conditioning programs. At the present time we have players who have undergone recent knee surgeries using it for upper body conditioning. The resistance that the Super Swim gives the players is accommodating to any level of fitness, the injured athlete can use it as easy as the non-injured. I look forward to using the Super Swim in our up coming off season conditioning programs.

For years I have been an advocate of aerobic exercise to promote physical conditioning and improve one’s endurance. As a General Surgeon one must have the stamina to endure long hours at operating time.
One of the most effective aerobic training exercises has been the use of our Super Swim System. Utilizing Hydro Resistance has allowed for a quick but effective aerobic training session. One does not need a large and expensive pool to obtain the benefits of Super Swim system.
I highly recommend Super Swim system to those who desire to achieve and maintain a conditioned body in this demanding world.

I want to let you know how much I enjoy having the Super Swim at our Therapeutic Pool.
In the 4½ years we’ve been open, I’ve found that it is one of the best pieces of equipment suitable for my return-to-work, rotator cuff, arthritis, and stroke clients. Not only does it work on improving their overall activity endurance, but we can focus on precise upper extremity movement patterns to increase the patient’s active range of motion.
I have also used it with a Guillian-Barré Syndrome patient. This neurological disease left her with partial paralysis of all four extremities. She was able to maintain an upright, non-weightbearing position for 15 minutes while moving her arms and legs against the resistance of the water! Her activity level, flexibility, and most importantly, her self-esteem all improved dramatically – and she is a non-swimmer afraid of the water.
Thank you again for making this great piece of equipment available to our facility and our patients. I believe so strongly in what Super Swim has to offer that I am purchasing the system for my pool at home!
Ann Price, MHS, OTR/L, Registered Occupational Therapist
Morton Planet Hospital
Dear Super Swim;
Thank you for introducing Morton Plant Hospital to your product. Our therapeutic pool, staffed by physical and occupational therapists, has found many varied uses for this unique device. Super Swim has proven to be an effective tool for therapeutic exercise, modification of swimming strokes, and endurance training. Individuals with different diagnoses have benefitted from the availability of this equipment. Our pool therapists have been able to provide “Hands-on” assistance to patients supported in various positions in the comfortable and secure harness. We can effectively work on specific exercises as well as on patterns of movement while closely monitoring the patient’s ability to stabilize in the water, the amount of resistance provided by the pool medium, and the overall effort exerted in treatment.
We often incorporate swimming and/or modification of swimming stroked into our therapy program and the Super Swim allows us the capability of closely monitoring these individuals while also deriving optimal pool space utilization. Our facility is continuing to find more ways in which the Super Swim can most benefit our patient population and we look forward to many more future applications.
Thank you for providing us with yet another treatment option.

New Life Fitness World has the only heated indoor pool in the Southwest Florida area. Throughout the winter months the usage of our pool skyrockets. Although we are not Olympic sized, Super Swim increases our dimensions and has become very popular with the area tri-athletes. Thank you for a truly great product.

I wanted to take the time to write this letter concerning the installation and use of my Super Swim System in my personal pool in Cincinnati, Ohio. I had it installed in the afternoon and immediately had difficulty getting an opportunity to use it because of the enthusiasm of my three young sons.
My sons range from four to seven years old and all are able to use the Super Swim System safely for fun and stroke improvement. My oldest son is on a swim team and is most excited about using it as a trainer and for general fun. My busy schedule as an Orthopedic surgeon makes it difficult to find time to exercise and the Super Swim System allows me a very intense workout in a short period of time. While I have a nice in ground pool, it is not really large enough to allow me to do effective laps, so the Super Swim System makes for a very cost-effective substitute for enlarging the pool.
I also feel the Super Swim System is a good therapeutic device for exercise in rehabilitation pools. The buoyancy and resistance provides excellent therapy and non-traumatic exercise. I am satisfied with my Super Swim System and strongly recommend it for use by the general public and for therapeutic purposes.

I would like to share with you some of my impressions of the Super Swim Trainer. First and foremost, Super Swim is the most transportable piece of training apparatus that we have. We can use it in the three different pools we train in, which are located on different floor levels in the Peppe Aquatic Center.
Secondly, the Super Swim Belt harness is the best my swimmers have experienced, with regard to comfort and the body position they maintain in the water.
Thirdly, we have used Super Swim for all strokes, while work time duration has been from 6 to 8-second power bursts, up to 30 minutes for our distance swimmers. We have been able to measure (with a dairy scale) work pounds force and some swimmers have been able to generate up to 120 lbs., which is as good as our pulley machine.
Last, but not least, we use Super Swim for technique swimming and drill work with mirrors on the bottom of the pool. The swimmer swims at a very moderate effort and watches his stroking technique.
In closing, I feel Super Swim is an excellent training aid for both the novice and/or advanced swimmer, and if one does not have a long course pool to train in, he/she could adapt to that type of a training situation.

I want to thank you for introducing us to Super Swim. Since we installed this great new exerciser in our spas, people have been standing in line to use it.
We feel that Super Swim has added a whole new dimension to our clients’ overall fitness programs. Everyone who has tried it has given rave reviews.
Because of all the positive comments, we have decided to add this state-of-the-art exerciser in each of our spa’s by year’s end. Super Swim is an exciting new idea whose time has come, and I know it will be a huge success.

The addition of Super Swim to our pool has been an excellent option for those swimmers wishing to do laps in our pool. Without Super Swim our pool would be considered a recreational length pool. However, with Super Swim both the Hotel guests and our outside members can use our pool to get a serious workout.
Thought you would like to know of Super Swim’s success here at the San Francisco Hilton on Hilton Square Health Club.
Very truly, Tony Sevilla, Health Club Manager.

I wanted to let you know how great Super Swim has been for Swim Florida. It has freed a lot of pool space since we can utilize our diving well now effectively. It has also been a great strength builder in the water and I envision many different applications in the future.
Our main use has been in breaststroke and backstroke. Our breaststrokers have used Super Swim for both their pull and kick separately as well as their entire stroke. It has been extremely effective during mid season, but several breaststrokers have also worked shorter sets during the later part of the season. I feel our backstrokers have derived the most from Super Swim (probably because of the steady head position during backstroke) We’ve worked on stroke correction, such as still head position and shoulder roll with great effect. We’ve also worked speed work with spin drill and it has really helped our swimmers to drive their hands deeper on their entry.
Our freestyle sprinters have derived a great deal from Super Swim. We have worked a lot on Speed Change where the swimmer would work 40 stroke cycles, easy to moderate, concentrating on finishing their strokes and stretching out on their hand entry, then they would crank up 10 strokes, maintaining good strokes, but really pushing it. It worked great!
Swim Florida is really excited about future applications of Super Swim. We are planning on working on varying the length of the rope, monitoring the tension, on the unit, and several other applications. Your product’s durability is second to none and Super Swim has become an integral part of our training program
Sincerely, Mac Kennedy, Swim Florida Head Coach
University of Miami Hurricane Swimming

Ever since we installed the Super Swims at the University of Miami and the Hall of Fame Pool in Fort Lauderdale, the coaches and swimmers have been so impressed with them, that they have become a vital part of our training program.
The Super Swim allows the swimmer to maintain a high body position while working against resistance at maximum effort. It is also great because it enables the coach to make stroke corrections while the swimmer is stationary. The Super Swim forces efficiency while increasing strength and although we use it for all strokes, it is particularly popular with our breaststrokers.
The Super Swims are so popular, the swimmers argue over who is going to use them. We need six more as soon as we can get them! Thanks for everything.
Jack W Nelson
University of Tampa
Thanks so much for your great service installing our new Super Swims. We’ve had great results already with our breaststrokers. Mac Kennedy’s drills from your Video have helped several of our swimmers convert to a surface recovery with fantastic results. One thirteen year old girl went from 1:18:5 to 1:15.7 in the space of a month.
Results in backstroke have been similar, if not as dramatic. It’s much easier to teach correct pulling patterns looking and signaling to the swimmer ten feet away.
In freestyle, we’ve taught several die hard two beat kickers a six beat with short (ten second) bursts from the wall. Formerly, it was very difficult to calculate and adjust stroke rate (tempo) in our short course facility. We could never get an accurate reading because swimmers would be turning every 8-11 cycles. With Super Swim we time 10-20 cycles, divide into elapsed time, and come up with a very accurate tempo reading.
I think the product will be valuable in our lesson program as well, and look forward to implementing it when we start in April. Thanks for everything. Hope to have another order soon.
Sincerely, Ed Brennan, University of Tampa Swimming

Dear Mr. Bellerive,
We have received our replacement harness for our Super Swim-Pro and just wanted tot tell you how happy we are with it. We bought our first Super Swim Pro about 15 years ago when we lived in Michigan. My husband was a former athlete but has had four hip replacements so running, skiing, and ball games were out of the question for him. This device ahs been a miracle, allowing him to exercise every day by swimming in place for up to one and a half hours. When we moved to North Carolina, we brought the Super Swim and the dog with us, two things we couldn’t live without.
Thank you again for such a wonderful product.
